About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in California, specializing in evidence-based and culturally conscious approaches to help individuals improve their mental health and well-being. As a Latina woman with fourth-generation Mexican ancestry, I understand how cultural identity and heritage shape who we are.
I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, one of the nation’s top Psy.D. programs. Over the years, I’ve worked in diverse settings, including hospitals, universities, correctional facilities, substance abuse treatment centers, and community mental health clinics.
My expertise includes treating anxiety, depression, insomnia, anger issues, trauma, and substance addiction. I also provide clinical training to schools, hospitals, media organizations, and mental health agencies on suicide prevention and intervention practices.
Patients describe me as warm, compassionate, understanding, and genuine—with a touch of humor. I love helping others discover their strengths, find inner peace, and make meaningful, lasting changes. I believe mental health care is not just personal—it’s a powerful act of self-love and resistance against stigma and oppression.
Through telehealth, I offer therapy to clients across California. My intake process involves creating personalized mental health plans tailored to your unique goals. In therapy, I focus on building balance, safety, and resilience, while providing tools to manage emotions, improve relationships, and align with your long-term aspirations.
Finding the right therapist is essential for your healing. I invite you to schedule a free consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
